The Kickapoo Tribe’s Shawnee and Harrah casino locations operated hundreds of devices using on-premises and cloud-based solutions. Each casino also operated physical security infrastructure with surveillance and access control. The Tribe initiated a tribe-wide effort to assess its cybersecurity posture and consolidate its IT processes. It engaged DigitalBlue to assess each tribal entity, beginning with the casinos. The Tribe focused first on the casinos because they were the most externally facing of its entities and because it had concerns about possible insider threats.
We were very impressed with DigitalBlue's work on our penetration test and vulnerability assessment. They identified several critical vulnerabilities that we were unaware of, and their recommendations for remediation were spot on.
Their team was professional and easy to work with, and we feel much more secure knowing that we have taken steps to address these issues. We highly recommend DigitalBlue to any company looking to improve the security of their networks.
DigitalBlue obtained gaming licenses and provided the Tribe with remote and on-site vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and a review of the security policies and practices at each location. DigitalBlue helped the casinos discover unknown vulnerabilities and inventory devices, then maintained real-time post-project monitoring of their networks. DigitalBlue’s report led to a remediation project to implement the recommended solutions, including a vCISO/vCIO engagement. That engagement provided security best practices and technical leadership to improve the Tribe’s cybersecurity posture and maintain NIGC compliance.
